Description

Product Overview

Nicotinamide, also known as vitamin B3 and nicotinic acid amide, is an amide of niacin (vitamin B3/nicotinic acid). Niacin and nicotinamide are both precursors of coenzymes NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) and NADP+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate). Nicotinamide exists mainly as a white crystalline powder form, soluble in water and ethanol. Depending on the dose, nicotinamide has different effects on lipid profiles and lipoproteins. NAD+ and NADP+ are coenzymes in a number of important enzyme reactions.

Application

Nutritional supplements: niacin is commonly used as a nutritional supplement due to its essential role in several biological processes, including the production of energy from food, maintenance of healthy skin, and support of the nervous system. Widely used in food fortification, dietary supplements, and skincare products.
