Description
AHK-Cu, also known as Alanine-Histidine-Lysine Copper Complex, is a copper complex of the AHK tripeptide. PubChem associates AHK-Cu with CAS No. 682809-81-0 and identifies L-Alanyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine as its parent peptide.
The product is supplied as a bluish to bluish-purple powder and is easily soluble in water. A 0.5% aqueous solution should be clear and transparent without obvious flocculent material. The pH specification at 1 mg/mL is 5.5–8.0.
Purity is specified at ≥98.0%, AHK peptide content at ≥65.0%, and copper content at 8.0–14.0%. Loss on drying and elemental impurities including lead, arsenic, cadmium and mercury are also controlled according to the current specification.
